Esmeralda Special is a rare award-winning coffee that has set three online coffee auction records, once when it sold for $21 dollars a pound on June 29th, 2004, again on May 30, 2006 when it soldfor $50.25 a pound and in
May 2007 when it sold for $130 a pound.

Altitude on the farms varies from 1450 meters to 1650 meters. Except in the case of the North of the Creek Lots, coffee is harvested from different altitudes in one picking. North of the Creek lots are about 1550 to 1650 meters.
