mock-compThe Pittsburgh coffee community is happy to welcome the SCAA and Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Regional Barista Compe-tition to Cranberry. As a precursor to our region hosting the event, we thought it’d be fun and a good idea to invite the locals to a pre-function — a mock-competition where competitors can enjoy a trial run of their routines, compare notes, and prepare for the big event.

Join us at Simpatico Espresso for a look at how the competition works: the rules, routines, judging, and how good our local talent has developed.

Participating baristi can arrive any time after 6:00 to familiarize themselves with the layout and equipment (the same machine used in the competition: Simonelli Aurelia 3-group).

Mock-competion will begin at 7:30 and end at 10:00, enough time to allow a minimum of ten competitiors to show their stuff.

Guests and observers are welcome anytime after 6:30. Pizza and refreshments supplied.
