Backspace is a unique coffee bar, venue, and art gallery located in downtown Portland. Serving Stumptown Coffee Roasters and having a vegetarian/vegan kitchen, Backspace has made itself a staple for the Portland urbanite. There really is something for everyone here, and we just celebrated our fifth anniversary!

great atmosphere, some good shows, ALWAYS interesting art.
the place you go to meet friends (a group) and/or check your email/play video games.
but not where i go when i want the best coffee!

Made a trip from Seattle to Portland for some coffee randomness. I had a phenomenal capp. from a barista there *forgot his name* and had a wonderful doppion the next day. Definitely a great place. I recommend it for sure.
