Location
HI, we are opening our first coffe house in a few months. We still can't decide on a location. Anyone has a store that is in a strip mall and not visible from the main street? What are your survival tips? We are in Miami, and real estate here is hard to find for our size and use, that would be premium visibility. Thanks.

If you are already having doubts, I would suggest not going into the location you have selected. The first 12-36 months is the hardest ... is this really the time you want to take on ANOTHER uphill battle (guiding customers to you).
Pick a location that is on the same side of the street as your morning rush. Starbucks has started closing their retail locations that don't meet this basic requirement. They have deep pockets to absorb a slow start, I'm guessing you do not have the same thick wallet.
