I live in Pittsburgh,PA. I am a frequent visitor to Olympia. We use Batdorf and Bronson as our roasters. They rock! Best coffee and training in the country. And we have researched it all.
I love Olympia and have many connections there. Sometimes I wished I lived there. I have owned a cafe/espresso bar for 8 years. And the coffee thing is happening in a very big way in Pittsburgh. In a way that I'm not sure how to get business hands and head around it. There are a few of us in the forefront (3-4 coffeehouses).
I am interested in knowing how you guys describe the "coffee scene" in Oly. And what really describes a vibrant, sustainable coffee scene?
