I just cupped/scored a Natural Sidamo at 94 points! I can't remember the last time I had an Ethiopia of this caliber. We cupped the pre-ship sample yesterday...I don't have the coop info yet, but if the arrival sample cups out as good as the preship I'd be confident that this will take over for the Limmu.
Beautiful aromas of citrus, melon and spice. Soft, mellow acidity, flavors of cantalope (sweet/soft), mellon, blueberry...and not subtle...very pretty flavors. Medium, creamy body and peppery (black pepper) after taste. The spice comes through as the cup cools and is nicley balanced against all the fruit. We cupped it at a sample roast...I'd be inclined to keep it there too...
It was a memorable cupping....sample #9!
