A challenge to all Southeastern baristas.
Hi all,
I'm issuing a challenge to all baristas within driving distance of Charlotte NC... Think your city or town pours the best latte art in the Southeast? Prove it!
As part of November's SouthEast Regional Jam, we're having a Saturday Night latte art Throwdown at Dilworth Coffee. This will run like many others, with individual competitors vying for the top spots. It will probably be head-to-head, bracket-style, like TNT at Expo. We'll have great food, cold beverages, great music, and cool prizes for the top pours - it should be a great event. But...
We also thought it would be fun to throw in a little twist. We're going to turn this into the Southeast's first live, city-vs-city, region-wide Latte Art Showdown. Here's the deal: every town, city, or metro area that has at least 3 baristas in the Throwdown will also be competing in the Showdown. Individual baristas will score points with their pours that will add to their team's total. The winning team will grab prizes AND bragging rights for their city.
Who'll be competing? Charlotte's here. I've heard rumblings from Nashville, Atlanta, and the Triangle. What about Charleston SC? Asheville NC? Greenville SC? Athens GA? We've all seen the pics from your throwdowns. There are some great things happening in the Southeast.
