Price is definitely right for renewal. Of course also opted for a T so make that $20:-)
One of those things that makes me go hmmmm. Is it just me that finds it ironic that the most appropriate discussion category for starting a new discussion is Off Topic for discussing The Barista Guild of American on BX, the self proclaimed world's premiere online community for the specialty coffee industry? Seems to me the BGA is highly On Topic.
On another note, is the BGA Forum permanently dead? Has the rise of BX made a BGA Forum obsolete?
While I don't regret renewing my membership, the T-Shirt arrived yesterday and the quality leaves much to be desired. Ok, nifty keen it's made from Organic Cotton (made in Pakistan). But just as Organic means squat in coffee quality so goes with this T-Shirt. It is made from cheap thin loose weave very light weight "organic" cotton. I won't wear it often because it won't survive many washings, even with a high end HE3 front loader like we have. And for $20 not close to a decent value.
For the record I've 20+ years non-profit organization event merchandising experience from small retreats of a couple dozen to World Convention level attended by ~100,000. Never have we used such cheap quality T's.
Hopefully those involved in purchasing zu-zues and wam-wams for the BGA will pay closer attention to quality in the future. If this T was an espresso beverage, doubt it would be good enough for even McCafe.
