Coffee shops?
So my girlfriend and I are going to Bonnaroo June 10-13 and are looking for shops to stop at along our route from Chicago IL to Manchester TN... Any suggestions?... Our direct most route takes us through Indianapolis and Nashville but we noticed that St. Louis could also be on the way... Also thinking of maybe leaving a day or so early so we'd have a day for anything fun to do... So hit me with some ideas...

If you take 55 South you'll run straight into Bloomington, Il. The shop I work at, Coffee Hound at 407 N. Main St. Bloomington, IL, is a great little family owned shop and roastery. Plus if you're attending Coffee Fest in Minneapolis myself and another barista are competing in the Latte Art Competition.
PS. We may not be in a big city but we have some seriously killer coffee and some awesome baristas.

If you go through West Lafayette, IN you've GOT to stop at greyhouse. great coffee, great baristas, great experience.

There isn't really much for coffee in Nashville but if you are into bikes at all there is a shop called Halcyon there that is super rad and they are pretty awesome people.

Actually, Nashville does have some awesome coffee shops!
I highly recommend Crema (website here)and Dose (website here)-- they're definitely my favorites. Bongo Java and Fido are also worth checking out if you have the time (both have the same website here.)

Come through St. louis and get some Kaldi's!! I'll try to meet up with you and give you a St. Louis coffee tour, if possible. Just let me know ahead of time. Coffee Hound is great in Bloomington. Copper River in Peoria, Joe Sipper's in Effingham (They also have the best Effingham Sandwich you'll ever have,) and Paradiso in Urbana. There are more, but mainly in St. Louis.

Stop in Louisville KY.
Great Restaurants and coffee...Stop at Quills Coffee and be able to walk to numerous bars and restaurants for a good evening.
Crema in Nashville is great.

I'll second this. I went to the first 5 years of Bonnaroo, and you will definitely want to take 65S all the way down. Greyhound is just 10-15 minutes off the route shortly after you get past Chicago, so it will be a nice treat.
If you have time, you can stop by our roasting facility. We are a couple minutes off 65 about 2 miles of south Indianapolis skyline.

If you come through Louisville (and you should!), like Jeremy said, Quills is great! Also check out Sunergos. They are a roaster and shop; ask for some whole bean single origin that Kane roasted, or taste some delicious SO espresso in store. You won't be disappointed! Also, in Nashville, Crema is great as well, along with a recent favorite of ours in Music City is Dose. Coffee & Tea. Their Sidamo in an Aeropress is amazing.

What is the name of the roasting facility? Im trying to see what places we will be able to stop at and what places will have to wait for the next trip... If we go straight down I65 we should hit Indianapolis around 11 or noon... Would love to stop by...
