Hi guys, I wanted to know if a single Espresso has less Caffeine than a normal 12 oz. Brewed Coffee (mild Roast) .

Yes.

espresso has about ~ 100 mg caffeine per 1.5 to 2 ounces

8 oz. coffee has ~ 125-190 mg... increase that for typical larger sizes.
Generally the extraction process for an espresso, 25 Seconds, will mean it will have significantly less caffeine in a shot than a cup of brewed coffee (drip or French Press). Brewed coffee has far longer contact with the surface of the coffee grinds, meaning caffeine extraction should be higher. Johns numbers are about right... although espresso I would put as high as 140mg to 240mg for a 12oz mug (with lighter roasts granted)
This is an easy subject to get confused with depending how how you measure. I agree with both reply's above.
I have also found that depending on the volume of your shot there will be less caffeine. For instance a 1.5 oz. ristretto will have a considerably smaller amount of caffeine than a full 2 oz. American Standard espresso. That boost of caffeine comes in those first hints of over extraction usually after 1.6 ounces...
