Type 'catering' into the search feature (top right above banner) and you'll get over 10 pages of results. Some results are just pictures, some are people that do catering, many are threads that address this exact question.

(saw this post yesterday and thought here we go again and didn't reply, but now what the hey...)

Ah gee, give the guy a break! He's thinking of starting a business, how does that imply the common sense necessary to use the search function to look for information?

That said Question(s):
Is there a consumer want/need in your area for espresso catering? If no, why even consider it. If yes, is that need currently being filled? How and by who is that need currently being filled? What is their experience level? What is their reputation? How is their quality? How busy are they? How will you differentiate your solution to their current solution? What will be your competitive selling point(s)? (7 days barista training isn't it.)

I say this as someone who may be damn good at coffee from sourcing greens to 'bout all forms brewing, yet 2&1/2 years into going from advanced home roaster & espresso hobbyist (including attending barista competitions and even barista competition judging) transitioning to professional buying a commercial roaster and cafe finally now knowing I don't know what it really takes to build a successful growing business and am studying and learning that aspect now before the doors on now two not one location slam shut.
Yes, economy is not helping but we still average 30-40 events a month. This is down from last year and previous years. If you are interested in discussing a franshise, check us out. http://www.mochamyday.com. Good luck!
