I just posted on the 'wall' but figured this might be a better discussion topic.  It's very self serving, sorry. :)

I'd like to know what sort of espresso and coffee gear you've had a hard time finding around town.

For the most part, the customers that have been coming in have been looking for green beans and espresso machine cleaning supplies.

Anything you've had a hard time sourcing or finding around town that you'd like at a moments notice, available in a store?

Regards,
Aaron

Hi. I'm about to visit N.O. and would LOVE recommendations for good, locally made espresso. I would like to avoid chains for obvious reasons and sadly there seems no locally based media that I've found that "gets" what constitutes decent coffee. I figure SNOB members who work there will have all sorts of opinions and that'll let me sample a lot during my weeklong stay. Standards? Well, I'm based outside NYC and like 9th Street Espresso as well as Joe and Grumpy, but all in varying degrees; I could do without the attitude, but I'm there for the quality product.....

Thanks again for any advice at all!
Michael,
Welcome to N.O. There are some great shops here, but I would Google Map them before I came...(in no particular order)
Mojo - Magazine St
Zotz - Oak St
LaDivinia - Magazine St
The Orange Couch - Royal St
Dee's - Perdido and Baronne

That should get you going. If you want to take it up a level, our roastery is in Kenner (by the airport). We are always drinking something great!
