I have great memories of being young and watching my parents make Drambuie coffees...brewing a double strength dark blend, adding the spirit, and pouring some vigorously shaken heavy whipping cream over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect. I still have trouble keeping the cream separated.
I had the pleasure of sampling similar fortified coffees at the Cafe Florian in Venice and Cafe San Marco in Trieste. I wanted to know if anybody else had certain favorite coffee/spirit combinations/recipes.
