I don't live in the area, but have been there. I have some friends that run a great little place called Joe's Addiction. You can find them @ joesaddiction.com. I may be biased since they're friends, but I also love good coffee & have enjoyed what I've had there (like I said, I don't live in OK, so haven't had it on a day-in-day-out basis). Also, if you like to hang for a while, it's got good ambiance & friendly staff.
look up Prima Cafe, they are roasters there in OKC and supply several coffee houses. I am not sure of names, but if u called them they could give you some locations to try. I use their coffee and have been very happy with it.

My friends Jason and Jennifer own Cafe Evoke in OKC. They mainly do catering but could be a good resource.
come check out Vintage Coffee at NW 150th , just east of Western. We are exclusive organic and fairly-traded coffee. Good coffee is what we are all about. My current favorite is our Black Silk Espresso on the French Press. Give me a heads up when you are thinking about coming, and i'll let you know if i am there or not. i always love to meet fans of good coffee!
Alan, what is the address? My husband is there until the 16th. I will txt him the address and he will pay a visit, I am sure!

Thanks everyone! I am sending the info. to my husband. I told him to make sure he lets the proprietor know that he heard about them on Baristaexchange.com! He will be so happy. He thought he had found a place but turned out it just wasn't good. He likes his travel french press but he wants espresso! :-)
900 NW 150th

I live in Norman, about 20 minutes south of OKC, and Coffee Slingers (1015 N Broadway) is the best I've found so far. They're very proud of their "third-wave" status, but if you're coffee geeky enough, you'll feel right at home.

Elemental Roasters (1825 W Main St) roasts top quality beans, which can be found in some area stores. I don't know if they have a storefront/take visitors.

Finally, the largest American roaster manufacturer is in OKC (http://www.usroastercorp.com/).

The coffee scene is there, but still very much underground and in its infancy.

COffee Slingers Is RAD!!!
I am a Barista in OKC so you know where the information is coming from. Coffee slingers is hands down the best coffee in the city, and that isn't even my shop. I work at a dessert cafe called Cuppies and Joe open 12-9 weekdays and 12-11 weekends. Cafe evoke is great but they are just catering. I would steer clear of most of the other shops to be honest. OKC has a young espresso culture so you have to be picky where you drink.
I have actually have been in. I am sorry if I came across as rude, that wasn't my intention. The service was nice, but I was turned off by the fully automated espresso machine. There were a couple of other things that weren't up my alley, but I am not on here to bash your coffee shop. I hope you guys do well. I would be happy to bounce some ideas if you want to send me a message.
