Grouphead Screws

Anyone have a suggestion about getting overly tight and partially stripped flathead screws out of the grouphead of an Aurelia? I'm a pretty strong guy and cant physically move them out so I'm presuming there is a work smarter not harder way to do this...

turn the machine off for about ten minutes or so , and let the temp cool down. As the metal contracts it will be a little easier to loosen the screws.
