It sounds like it could be a temp problem. Have you checked to see if you are getting hot water out of the side that is giving you a weak brew? If it is there are a few very cheap fixes you can try. Each of the brew sides are operated by their own temp control and heating element. You can try to kick the temp dial up slightly and see if that helps.

Brew felt like it was the proper temp, but I'll check to be sure. Thanks. Also, we did check flow rate and it was right on the money.

I'm beginning to feel like this was just part of my crappy morning... nothing was working well. Bad coffee mojo... its no laughing matter.

dbc is a single boiler wouldnt have the problem on just one side some cw series have dual boilers well mostly new ones but Im saying its single cause i dont know if i've ever seen a digi CW

i do believe that there should be more to the model than Dbc is it a Sh, Tf, Cw

check these things 1. amount of water durring a brew (it will be higher with no coffee, coffee soaks up some water) make sure the switch is in right position.
2.Amount of coffee to water is to your brew spec
3.check temp

if you have had this machine a long time might be a valve isnt opening either brew or bypass dont know

Mystery solved. Root cause was a malfunctioning scale - the one we use to portion the beans for our brews. Did a little work on the scale and brews are just right. I guess that problem just lined up in such a way that it looked like the problem was the brewer. Thanks for all the help guys.
