Holiday Cash Bonus for Baristas
I'm curious to find out what kind of holiday bonus other cafes give.
Is is cash only or gifts as well?
Do you give an equal amount to all employees or more that have worked for you longer?
How much is a worthwhile bonus?
Do you have to work at the cafe a length of time before receiving the bonus (let's say someone was hired in December) ?

I figure out how much we can afford then give it out in a ratio based on number of months with company. For example let's say Holiday bonuses will be $1000 total and total employee months with company 100 months. A new employee has worked for us 45 days = 1 month = 1/100x$1000=$10 bonus, another employee has been with 25 months would get 25/100x$1000=$250. An employee with less than a month no bonus.
One year I took the entire staff (each staff member with a plus one) to the TSO concert and out for pizza after.
