We own a small (small in space and all the way around small) and need to sell something to break into a summer crowd. We have people ask me all the time for coffee. And we are thinking about selling some sort of ice cream. Like a case with good humor bars...or something?
With limited space, and $ resources to start offering a new product does anyone have an idea ice cream to sell?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Miriah

How about smoothies? I live in a place that gets crazy hot in the summer and love a good smoothie. I have no experience with them as far as the business side goes but I am sure somebody will chime in soon.
Well, if you're looking at something along the lines of commercially produced ice creams (a la Good Humor bars), why not contact Good Humor or Blue Bunny (or similar) direct?
They can help you with figuring out the right mix of product and also provide you with a freezer that should fit your needs. There are floor models and countertop models available.
Hi Neal,
Thanks :) we do a good business in smoothies. This winter has been so mild that I have sold them all year long, so with hope that will keep going this summer :)
Cheers!~

If anything, the next time you are at a store selling those products, ask the manager for a contact number - or hunt down the delivery truck. I've used both those approaches over the years trying to find vendors!
hi Miriah , do make our own Gelato .in the summer it is about 30 to 40 % of you sell witch is really good apart with the huge investment in gelato equipment and training the profit is Great on gelato , i talking about 15 to 20% food cost . Also we developed different drinks with gelato. i say go for it one thing that i suggest , is Dont Cheap out. be different offer only the best and be different. i often fine that coffee shop will serve create coffee and create food but they also sell commercial Crap. (example Coca cola Or worst heat up the tasty wrap in a Micro wave.)
Find a artisan gelato or ice cream maker that be welling to supply you and use him .
