Kudos~ PAT ON THA BACK~Job Well Done!!
I would like to ask of members, when was the last time you got a pat on the back, or kudos for a job well done, or maybe you didn't but went that extra mile to give that heavenly coffee experience. In this Industry,and in these times, I feel much energy is needed to spread the knowledge and appreciation for coffee, sometime we may or may not get it. If you know someone that went out of their way to provide service excellence let's hear about it so that we may give them some bean energy and praise, everyone need a lil pick me up!!!Yes this includes you, when was the last time you gave 100%?? I 'll start by saying just 2 days ago, I did a pan roast for a BED and Breakfast owner, that happens to be a flavor kind drinker, I roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, and prepared it FRENCH Press Style, she was so Impressed, that not only did she compliment my style, but also offered me the opportunity to serve it in both her Bed and Breakfast, and host Coffee Parties..How Cool Is That!!!!1 kudo?... I want to hear from YOU!!!...I am your BaristaOnDutY....The DailyGrinder...

What a great little story! Congrats and Good Job! :)
A little story from me (not nearly as great as your though)... About two weeks ago one of my very loyal customers (he comes in daily and gets a large decaf americano with a splash of soy) comes in and asks me "How do you do that?" I of course looked at him with question and he continued. "You are always smiling - it is so nice to see that everyday!". He is an older man who backed it up with "I am a happily married man by the way!" I laughed, thanked him and told him that he of course puts that smile on my face each day. Which for me it is the truth. It is so nice to see Nick day after day. Lately he has been bringing in his beautiful wife Michelle too!

Wow...Thats so awesome, because ,we never realize how much impact we have on others and others on us, especially that morning barista that serves that first cup of wake me up, have a great day!!We often are the 1st contact with people before entering the workspace,so I feel it's so important to be a positive light for our clients, not everyone serves coffee with a smile, you were noted for that, and that is great because obviously your customer was intrigued enough to ask you how you do it..Great JOB!!!espresso shots for you...and all stories are great, I feel it's what we need, we can learn a lot from others..about 3 years ago I had the same thing happen to me, a woman was going through a rough time in her life, found out later she told me I help her live again, because of my energy and coffee!!!!lol....Thanks for sharing your thoughts..Maybe we can get some espresso bars or beans to wear for our badges ;-) Keep Up The Good Work, It's Appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Well it seems I'll have to Pat myself on the back, and toot my own horn, last week I hosted The Folkston Inn House,1st coffee party, we only had 5 people because it was a private event, however I PAN Roasted the Coffee 1 hour before the Party, prepared it French Press And Moka Style. My guest were amazed @ the range I provided using those 2 methods, 2 of the guest were from Texas, so they were able to go back home knowing they had experienced "real" coffee. When I host parties I give a little bit of coffee history,methods of roasting and preparations. In essence my parties are like a fun coffee class.Should I be Charging More!?!....Naw I love spreading the love besides it boosts my $ales!! ..O.k for the kudos..Another 2 people converted 2 the coffee oath...Hahahaha...How many have you converted 2day? :)
