Hi Mike,

I live in Milwaukee, but go to Madison a lot to visit family, go to concerts, etc. Check out a new shop in town called Bradbury's. They're rocking a Synesso and buy mainly local and organic. http://www.bradburyscoffee.com/
I used to work at Mother Fools on the near east side 1101 Williamson St. , it's a great shop, serves Alterra, vegan bakery and soup, live music weekly, great art and community emphasis. The owners are involved in the Madison Hours project and the Madison Time Bank, both of which are local currency initiatives. They also run a record label and love bicycles. Definitely has more character than any other shop in Madison, and arguably the best cup.
the one i work at is in watertown wisconsin.
ive heard theres a good one in sun prairie.
i have no clue about the geography of wisconsin.
but if it helps...
