Hi, I am in Iowa City and have a few friends from MPLS area who work at bull run. We vaguely discussed getting an Iowa City v. Twin Cities throwdown. Maybe we could make it a three way? IC vs. SF vs. MPLS? Next time they were coming to visit would be a month(ish) from now. Also, when are you doing your monthly throwdowns? I could bring a few from IC some time if you want some out of town competitors. Let me know.

This sounds exciting and we may be interested. We've decided to put the monthly throwdowns on a temporary hold until after the USBC and we are throwing around ideas of a regional non-SCAA sanctioned barista competition since most of us in the upper midwest seem to be missing from the Midwest Regionals. We'd like to throw in some fun elements, too - we've got some interest from Lincoln, NE, too...so let's keep in touch with that.

Also, let me know if you have a throwdown with MPLS crew - we may be able to round up a crew to treck over.

I'm definitely interested in all of this! I work in Minneapolis, and I know of quite a few baristas who would be equally interested. Let's make this happen!
