If you're feeling daring, chef Joe Dobias opened JoeDoe. The menu is as delicious as it is impulsive and innovative. Grab a pink elephant two doors down at the thai restaurant The Elephant.
If you can score a seat, only 12 in the place, Momofuku Ko is amazing. Chef David Chang serves some great food. Reservations at momofukuko.com, make them six days in advance before 10 am. $100 prix fixe. Worth it.
Adour Alain Ducasse at The St. Regis, with Joel Dennis and Alain Ducasse at the helm is elegant and decadent. Over 1800 wines, with at least 50 under $50, and all of them are fantastic. Desserts are the ultimate here! Cold chocolate coated tiramisu style with pudding, coffee granita, vanilla cream and a gold-leafed chocolate disk. CRAZY AWESOME!
FYI: Don't drink the coffee at any of these places, New York may have great cafes and great restaurants, but I have yet to find both in one. If you do, let me know!
