Unless its water (or possibly beer) you don't need 20 ounces of anything...especially when it contains a full mornings worth of lactate from another animal.

Large skim latte to-go, no foam extra hot, half caf, please.

=)

I don't do no foam or extra hot so if they order that they're getting whole milk too....they'll just have to hit the treadmill a little harder on their lunch break.

20oz hell. When I decided to quit watching other shops 20oz'ers walking by a year or so ago went from 16oz togo being my shops largest to brining in 24oz togo cups, bypassing wimpy 20oz.

Humungoid 24oz quad shot (default for our 24oz) breve mocha extra mocha plus whip please, who needs it? $7 in the 'til needs it. IT pays for the luxury of having 4 espresso grinders currently kicking two not just one SO espresso offerings for those into real coffee.
The "mir-can sized latte" nice.....i bet those those single origins taste great in 20oz of milk with chocolate and whip....a dollar is a dollar i guess.

Totally agree... it does not make sense to spend money in high quality coffee and then add everything you can to hide its flavor. If costumer wants a dessert, then that is different, coffee would be just another ingredient in the recipe.
You seemed to have missed "kicking two not just one SO espresso offerings for those into real coffee". Never said the SO espresso grinders were for the foo foo crowd.

And yes, damn right a dollar is a dollar. Open your own shop(s) in the middle of a recession and be responsible for paying all the bills, INCLUDING payroll, and you'll understand.

So the crappy espresso goes into the crappy drinks? :)....i know what you are saying and its been hashed out a million times on here. I'm just on the other side of the argument. My shop serves 20 oz latte's that I would love to do away with but keep them for the same reasons as you. We only serve great espresso though, no matter what the drink and all we have is SO espresso (currently 3 different ones) which are different varietals and processes from our family farms in El Salvador.

Yes, my crappy flagship Organic Delirium Espresso 4 bean 5 roast post roast blend goes in the foo-foo drinks. I could maybe should use my cheaper and easier to roast/produce D'Spro Espresso 3 bean single roast blend a number of other shops buy 'cuz it's cheaper, but I don't. :-)
