She didn't answer any of our questions at the Symposium at SCAA this year. The show was good I do think her heart is in the right place its just unfortunate that coffee is involved.

Agreed. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for the coffee farmers and buyers in the "specialty market," who've been working so hard in raising standards through "direct trade," only to see these doors shutting between them. I have to admit that I may be speaking out of my league here, but this is how I understand it. Hopefully these issues will be addressed sooner than later. I do believe that the intent of the ECX is good. I believe that good things will come from it as they figure out the nuances of each industry and how they work. I imagine that it will take a lot of time, baby steps. I hope that it doesn't take so long that it reverses so much of the work that's already been done.
