Is it lame to use your personal name in your business name?? I have an idea but don't want it to come across as though I am full of myself.?> What kind of milk. I would like to go with Organic Valley Milk but am not sure if that is cost effective. It is important to me to be natural and organic so it is worth it but again you have to make the bills so any thoughts. Just trying to figure it all out.

Is it lame to use your personal name as your business name? I don't know, what do you think about:

Joel Robuchon
Pierre Herme
Gary Danko
Gordon Ramsay
John Lobb
Tommy Hilfiger
Joseph Abboud
Ike Behar

and yes, even:
Tim Wendelboe

The above names have something in common: they stand for a certain level of quality. Will your name stand for quality, or is it just a gimmick? Set your standard and let your name mean something. Sure, some people will think it's contrived and pretentious but if you've got the chops, they can eat it.
Hey thank you very much. You explained your thought wonderfully and I am hoping to uphold the highest standards so i guess I will go with it. Thanks again.
