Hi I'm new this is my first post.  But I'm here looking for advice, as most of us are.  I currently have a Diedrich IR3 floor mount roaster.  It's all I've ever had, I've been roasting for 7 years (always on the same machine).  It's time for a bigger roaster, I was of course looking at another Diedrich but a Royal #5 has crossed my path. The price is right but I'm wondering if all of my clients will notice a taste difference?

 Has anyone had the pleasure of roasting on both machines?  What's the Royal like?  Would there be a big taste difference? Coffee beans are coffee beans but do they roast the same on these two very different machines? Diedrich has all the fancy air flows and the IR heaters & the Royal seems so basic?
