I'm so very jealous of Portland and not only the transparency between coffee roasters and information sharing but they also have Bellissimo! Bruce, Matt , Jared, Rita and I know I left out the name of another trainer but the entire staff are so brilliant. They are a bridge for all that great information to cross over to others and that is why I have left my job of almost seven years and gone to Visions Espresso Service to open up what we are calling "The Coffee Enhancement Lounge". Seattle needs a place to collaborate and bring the voices of coffee in to teach and grow our expansion of coffee skills. Bruce teaches some classes in Portland that I drool over. I hope they become regulars in the space. Not to mention cupping coffees, latte art throwdowns, home espresso courses, barista live streams of competitions etc, an organized annual trip to origin...anything else.
