Stupid Question.
Ok we have a Rancilio Epoca machine, I backflush it everyday but my question is we have two head machine, do I have to backflush each side or does bacflushing one side clean both?? I am careful about flushing the head out with hot water and cleanng it with the brush after every use. See, told you it was dumb!!

Yep, both sides. Good to hear you do the clear water flush afterwards. I was so tired one night after opening up a new shop that I forgot to run clean water through a flush cycle. The next morning this brand new 2 group machine only had one group functioning. After freaking out I figured that I had soaped up the solenoid and it stuck in the closed position. I just had to take the solenoid apart and soak it to dissolve the soap. Never did that again.
Also when I back flush I do it for 10 sec each flush and one group at a time. For the most part commercial machines are almost bomb proof. The main thing is, give them some love and they'll give it right back.
