Has anyone come across Nuovo Point Look alike. I have ordered from a few different companies that all claim to be real BUT, alas they are not. Thinner wall larger more fragile handles. What is going on, it is such a pains taken task to actually get real ones WHY? If anyone has any thoughts on this or had this experience please let me know.
Pictures start out top view look good but look closer, Than notice handles in side view, and final the stamp on bottom? Mmmmm

Ricky thanks for the input.
Yes, the right one is the real deal. The other is a supposed Nuova, sorrento ? I'm not sure, but mine are supposed to be the new sorrento but I just don't know. Yes, Everyone says espressoparts.com. and that's where I will go. But I know there are alot of China Points out there. BARISTAS' BEWARE OF IMPOSTORS.
I think it is important to bring to light the reasons for not offering Nuova Point cups an longer. Quality is the first thing we look for in a manufacturer, and when we started to notice a lack of quality in the italian made cups, we decided to design our own cups designed to meet the criteria of Barista Competitions. Our cups are made in China, but since that's where China was created we thought it made sense...... and the quality is far better than the Italian manufacturers, with less lead time. A win win for everyone.

We're using the China made cups in our cafe, love them very good quality they look great and take the daily abuse. We'll be ordering more.

I gave up on trying to find true Nuovo Point cups and decided upon Espresso Supply's Cremaware - very happy with these durable, attractive and heavy weight cups: http://www.espressosupply.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&am...
Hey Ricky,

Good news. We are making the bowl style with a 10mm lip just like the old Nuova Point, or LM cups of about 10 years ago. They were one of my favorites as well.

We certainly have seen allot of cups over the years and will be creating designs that envelope many of our favorite features.

Thanks for the feedback as it is very much appreciated and how we move forward with our design choices.
