Joining and jumping in with both feet, so to speak.

I am working to attempt to set up Mid-Atlantic buying groups for Cup of Excellence coffees. Part of what I would like to do is set up cupping events, similar to what Atlas Importers, Cafe Imports, and Royal Coffee NY do for many of the CoE origins.

I started on this journey a bit late in the process for the first 2009 origin, Colombia. The Colombia auction is this Thursday, April 23. I have roasted all the samples and will be cupping them tonight and tomorrow night. I would like to invite anyone who is interested to stop by my place in Alexandria VA and participate. Future origin cuppings will likely be at Cafes or other public locations--the timing of this auction, my late start, and last weekend's SCAA expo have prevented that for the Colombia cupping.
