It is common to use a water debit test to check for defective vibe pumps, but do any of you use this method for rotary pump output as well? Thanks in advance!

I hadn't even heard of that test until this thread. Thanks for sharing.

I'd just assumed that if I saw 9 bar on the dispense pressure gage that the pump was working fine. Any thoughts on the validity of this assumption?

Shadow, are you experiencing some sort of problem with your machine or is this more of an academic discussion?
No problems at all... just preventive maintenance. I've done this test many times with vibe pump machines and apparently a similar volume should be sought after in rotary pumps based on what I've been reading. Check out the links I found a bit ago... hope it's OK to post links here!
