I am excited to announce that beanhunter.com is finally live. Some friends and I have been working on this project for the past 12 months and now you can check it out yourselves and let me know what you think.
Please help those cafes that truly care about the art of fine coffee by submitting coffee bars, writing reviews and uploading photos. With the help of users like you around the world this site should become a really useful tool, not only for the general coffee loving public but also to bring more customers to cafes that are commited to serving great coffee!

Great site. I just got majorly distracted at work checking it out and planning a trip to Melbourne.....
It's good to see some good reviews, hopefully not to many are Trolls just plugging their own cafes..

Cheers! If cafes plug themselves and they are bad its unlikely they will get any other favourable reviews, so things will even out as the user base grows. We have editor reviews to combat this sort of thing also. Beanhunter Spotters are industry professionals who know what they are talking about when it come to coffee. We are currently building the Beanhunter Spotters team. In fact Matt Milletto is one of the first spotters to join so look out for some editor reviews of his fav portland cafes! We only launched last night so its still very fresh and new.
