So I have spent the day canvassing local shops in and around Phoenix. I wanted to let everyone know that the format is now officially going to be in USBC format with a small amount of tweaking. I will let everyone know what the specific changes will be. The most severe change will be the judging aspect. There are a number of judges at the USBC competition and we will have 2. I also want to let everyone know, if you have baristas that want to compete and don't feel they are quite up to snuff, I will be holding workshops to coach these guys through some of their fears and technical issues. Let me know if you have people that would like or need some help with this technical and rigorous format.

I believe we are sourcing the Yama equipment from Oregon, I'll find out where exactly, the dispersion screens we have on hand because we have a full time service tech who stocks LM, Astoria, Rancilio, Simonelli, etc. parts. The dispersion screen cleans very easily (as it is meant to have coffee flowing through it regularly). Also the metal won't absorb the flavor and aroma of coffee or cleansers.

Greg great idea with the dispersion screen. I have to give this a try where did you get you supplies? I use a 20oz yama every morning so I am always cleaning the filter this also seems like a time saver.
