Hi all, I have been thinking of selling my Diedrich IR-12 Roaster and searching for forums I came across this site and just joined this group. I was surprised to find a picture of my IR-12 next to different peoples postings and I am also seeing it now at the top of the group page. I don't mean a picture of the same type of roaster, I mean the actual picture of my roaster right off my website.

I actually don't mind I am just curious how it got there and why it shows up where it is showing up. I downloaded the picture from your group page, Here it is.

If you looked at my website (I'm not sure If it's OK to put in URL) you would see this is right off my web site. Like I said I don't mind it being used I'm just curious  how it got there If anyone knows, please let me know.
Thank You.
Rick.

Coffee Photo Piracy! :-) At least you are being good natured about it. If you google a group of words in the photo tab like "IR12" and there is a photo on the web named that it will come up. Most likely, someone was too lazy to photograph their own roaster or thought yours was a nicer shot for an avatar and took it. Now... if you could just link that photo to your coffee site.... hmmm. New stream of business.

Good luck!

Thanks fellow IR-12 Owner ........ They can use it, it was just strange to come across it like that .....
It's a great roaster. Mine is actually a pretty old one modified by Diedrich to a IR-24. Their original ones they used the same machine for both IR-12 and 24, they just had one less burner for the 12. I bought used from Diedrich and had them do the mods before they shipped to me. Worked out real good. Good luck .........

Mine is a 12kilo machine. They switched from standard to metric and screwed everybody up. So it is a 24 lb roaster. I love it. Bought it in Canada from Faema, and shipped it down I just sold my IR-3. I think Diedrich is a fantastic machine. Good luck on your hunt!

Do you still have this roaster? How much are you asking? Where are you located?
Hi Larry, I still have the roaster and I am on LI, NY. I haven't decided yet If I am selling it or not.
If you want to send me your email address and I can send you a message if I decide to sell. Thank You. Rick.

How much do you want for this roaster?
Hi Jorge, thanks for asking.
I still haven't committed to selling it yet. I am probably moving out of state, it's not definite yet. I should know soon and then I am afraid I would have to sell the roaster.

Some quick background. It's an older Diedrich IR-12. I bought it used directly from Diedrich when they were still in California. They completely refurbished it. When this roaster was built they used the same machine for their IR-12 and IR-24. The 24 just had an extra infrared burner for more capacity. When they refurbished mine they did some mods to make it easier to clean and added the second burner making it what at the time would be an IR-24.

It has been very lightly used over the years and well maintained. I never had a single problem with it. If you want to email me at cadwayscoffee@optonline.net I can send you some pictures and some more background on it.

As far as the price, I just emailed Diedrich to see if they could give me an Idea. I'm just looking for fair value. It's actually going to be a hard thing to sell, I originally bought it with a partner who passed away a few years back so it has sentimental value, kind of like that old car you can't part with. I would like to find a good home for it. Anyway, Diedrich said they couldn't really put a value on it without seeing it, but rule of thumb is around 30% less then what I paid for it depending on condition. So that would be a selling price of around $7,700.00 plus shipping cost. Of course I would be looking at any offers. I will post it for sale on this and other forums when I'm ready, which might be soon.

Please e-mail for pictures or any more Info. Thank You. Rick.
