There are many great espresso slingers around the Southeast U.S., and this group's in honor and celebration of them. Also, although not as famous, there are lots of great baristas showing the country that we got skills, too. We are also educating our area what good coffee is. Whether it's Java Jaay's Coffee in Decatur, AL, Octane Coffee in Atlanta, or Dilworth Coffee in Charlotte, the art and scene are being improved upon everyday!

I agree Matt. I actually started a discussion about that. I will bring it back up so it shows up on the main page....

everyone in this group should post locations of good coffee shops in the area so we can all meet and talk nerdy about our obsession with coffee :)

We have recently had a change in our plans and will be opening sooner in an alternate location (next to the planned one).
While I feel confident about most of what must be done I am feeling quite panicked on the inside. I will be posting on here quite often in the next few months so all of you who have offered advice... I'm going to need it! I will also need extra hands when it comes to opening celebration.

CONGRATULATIONS ON 100 MEMBERS! It's so good to see the Southeast represented so strongly on here. From visiting so many good coffeehouses and cafes around the SE, I know that they exist, it's good to see other people take notice. Thanks to all who are part of the SE coffee conversation. I hope you will use this group to network, make your shop better, and make new friends around this lovely part of this good country. Cheers!

HEY...WHO WANTS TO GO ON A BREWERY TOUR?!!!
If you're in Charlotte, we have Carolina Beer Company just up the dirt path called I-77 in Mooresville. If there are any Baristas out there interested in going on one of their Saturday tours, let's get something together. We can meet at the Charlotte TC, get amped on espresso, and then ride together.

Send a PM and let me know.

cheers.
