My farm and coffee shop in Costa Rica are open for Baristas (in the making and also experienced) who want to commit to 2 month stints.

We pay room and board, our shop is located in Fortuna, near Arenal Volcano, and is highly reviewed in guide books.

 

Any takers? i already have one committed to 7 weeks (til july 20th this year).

Cultiva Coffee Roasting Co. is always up for hosting guests, as long as you call ahead of time, give us a description of your work/personal background, and are willing to help out around the shop. You'll most likely learn something valuable, and we will too! Cultiva roasts on a Diedrich IR-12, slings espresso on a Linea Marzocco, have access to an Aurelia that's set for competition, GB5 at another location, and cup coffees on a regular basis at the roasting facility. We are very independent. Learn-by-Doing. No lectures or powerpoint presentations. They have their place and time, but Cultiva is not it. If you are willing to work for coffee, we're willing to teach you everything we know about the business.
