HAHA, yea I know that place. I invited them to Spro-Down in Chi-Town last year and the owner declined to come because people from Intelli and Metropolis would be there and she said "they're our competition." So I wont go there out of principle. If you want to wander a little ways down Milwaukee ave. I would recommend Lovely.

"competition" really? I didn't have any cash and they wouldn't take my card for less than $5 so I bought some coffee to take back to my shop and sample with my staff. I can't bring myself to brew it. The stuff is just oil covered charcoal. It's like they never taste the coffee. They should have gone to the Spro-Down there is a world of good coffee right around the corner.

I've been to lovely it's a nice place and they pulled me a decent shot. I also watched them pour ground coffee from a 5 lb bag to make drip. I want some places with passion.

I wish I had something good to tell you, but sadly I do not. Just a lot of places that serve coffee. The best thing I can tell you to do is hop on the Blue Line at Damen, head south to the Jackson stop, and walk half a block to Intelli Monadnock, or head north to Logan Square and hit up New Wave.
