What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Hey Scott, we participated last summer in the Boulder Barista Jam. it was a great time and created community among all of us that were there. I don't know how I feel about going to something like the MRBC. we'll see......Patty
Hey Scott , I will keep you post it, I'm putting the entire logistic together for those type of trips. We even have canopy rides on the plantation site. I will come up with an entire package for you guys. I'm talking to Matt to have a good logistics. will keep you post it
Sounds like a plan... i bet we will find more people to join us getting lost... or save us, but this time i won't be worry about getting lost in translation haha...
Have fun in Hondouras!
The picture was taken at Red Rock just outside of Vegas....
I have been traveling since coffee fest and I think I will be out in DC so hopefully I will see you there!
How is your New Years so far?
Are you coming to judge at the MRBC, or does something else bring you out? Either way, it'll be good to catch up and talk freely since you won't be judging me as a competitor like the last time.
Yo Scott. Apologies for the long delay in replying. How are things down in NoCar? You coming to CFDC? Didn't think I would be there but with the way things are looking in Africa lately, I just might!
I thought I had a video too - i have lots of video of the dancing bean just not with Doug close to it!
Hopefully will make the SCAA and Copenhagen - family and work committments permitting. It's a busy year and expensive travel :-)
how was your mountain climb in japan - last I saw you you were off to climb mount Fuji to see the sunrise...
truth be told I havent quite worked out how to post pictures yet - you're more than welcome to put it up - there are plenty of Doug on my Flickr to be shared with the world!
Hi Scott... yes, my sweetie and business partner Simon and I actually had SCAA arrange to be in Mpls this year for our convenience. ;-)
OK, ok... you're not buying it. But it sure is convenient for us and travel expenses will be minimal. Should be lots of fun.
i dont venture as far south as naples that often but in for myers there a coffee shop called Black Hawk Cafe its in the Bell Tower shopping center. i like it cause they have free internet and its not to far form where i live. there espresso isnt bad either.
Crap, you are from Driade, awesome coffee shop! I wish I could get back there, it is tough since I relocated from the Triangle to Philly. Let me know if you are ever this side of the Mason Dixon.
Thanks! I would love to tell you more about the shop I want to start--right now the idea is featured on www.ideablob.com--http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/1462-Fair-Trade-Organic-Coffeehouse- Check out the idea, leave me some feedback, and go ahead and vote, if you don't mind...it would help me out.
You may already know about my venture. I`m starting to recruit world-class trainers & baristas to train the local baristas at the american coffee growing countries.
The idea is to cover the expenses (air ticket+hotel+food) for a 3 day trip (at least) with sponsor support.
The venture will start by February 2009, if you`re able to donate a couple of days of your time, to promote the barista profession, please let me know, and I`ll send you the schedule.
Hi Scott, Well I´m not barista, I would like to be one, i wanna learn more about barismo.
I was a hudge in the Barismo National Competition here in Nicaragua so I falled in love in the barista world, so i wanna learn more and get more involve.
