I have owned a furniture business for the past twenty years. i have had a desire for some time to open a coffee house in my community because i see it as an opportunity to not only give back to my community by providing a safe place where friends can meet and meet new friends; but also as a Christian i see this opportunity as a ministry. i enjoy meeting new people and am excited about this new direction in my life.
About My Company:
Common Grounds was designed with the "third" place and community in mind. to establish a locally owned coffee house that creates and maintains an environment where people can come together, where friends can meet and where new friendships can develop. the front porch in small town usa was the place where family and friends would meet hang out and share ideas. we have become such a fast paced world that we have left some of the core values that made this counrty great, including becoming so busy in our daily lives that many of us no longer take the opportunity to socialize even with our own neighbors.
Common Grounds desires to become that "front porch" for our community.
Hi Steve, It's good that things are going well for you. With all the research you put in, I'm sure the store will going like gang busters! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
