Grew up in a coffee-growing family in Puerto Rico. After working in an unrelated field for many years, decided to buy the family farm (quite overgrown and in need of much TLC after dad's death) and have dedicated the last three years to begin (a very slow) farm restoration program. My wonderfully supportive husband and son have also grown to love the farm.
About My Company:
A coffee farm located in the Southwest section of Puerto Rico. A nursery (currently about 80,000 arabica plants in inventory - limani, caturra, borbon and catahui; and hillside grown young coffee plants are the main products to date.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The excitement of seeing the plants grow and then have their berries transformed into the most wonderful of beverages.
thanks, Brian. the first harvest was last year, but of course, very small since the plants are not quite mature.
The coffee blooms were beautiful this past February, so I am looking forward to a larger harvest in a few months..
