yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I manage and own an independent coffee house just north of the entrance to Denali National Park, Alaska. We are seasonal: open from May-September. I am very much self taught, while picking every coffee brain that comes my way. But, in my off season, I would really like to go and submerge myself in some other coffee land and learn from talented coffee people and expand the horizon of my knowledge. I love to network with coffee professionals and talk shop.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Well, nearly all of them. Namely - France, Germany, Ireland, the U.K., San Francisco....
About Me:
I'm a bubbly, boisterous broad... interested in being wildly creative with life. I'm a gypsy through and through and often have my most fabulous epiphanies on the road. I love to sing and hug people. And I am dedicated to sustainable living, food, coffee and good love. I love to paint and draw, and often look at life through a lens, and sharing good food/coffee/wine with people is the spice of life. I have a wonderful partner in business and life, Adam, and a beautiful little boy, Bear.
About My Company:
The Black Bear Coffee House is a coffee cabin/sanctuary/local living room/pirate lair nestled between Mt. Healy and Mt. Sugarloaf, 130 miles south of Fairbanks, AK. I am dedicated to teaching people about the love and joy of making exceptional coffee, and sharing it with them. We are crazy busy during our seasonal months: May-September. And we are all quite eccentric gypsies who revel in our individuality. We strive to give everyone something that will make their buds jump for joy.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
cool tatoos of portafilters
