If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I now live in Göteborg and just started working a pretty cool little cafe called Mahogny. I hope things work out here. After so much time off my skills have gotten a bit rusty but that won't last.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Surprise me.
About Me:
I used to work at Big Bear Cafe in DC after initially working at Murky Coffee's Capitol Hill location. I'm still in the process of perfecting my trade but I did place second in an in-house competition. I feel I make pretty high quality espresso drinks and am still developing my palette as far as tasting different coffee varietals.
About My Company:
To be perfectly honest No Wave Coffee Company is in its very, very early stages. Eventually, though, the plan is to bring the "third wave" to Gothenburg. Right now there's DaMatteo and nobody else. In a city with a million cafés it's a bit disheartening to see that so many shop owners seem uninterested in keeping pace with the industry. So my goal is to help provide a bit of a jump-start to the whole scene.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I can't say I really have just one favorite thing. I love the genuine enthusiasm of the industry's many members and I love the way one simple beverage can bring together different people from different parts of the world.
