too long indeed! but i'm headed your way! i'll be driving through atl in a couple of weeks. we must catch up over a cup... i want to hear about your roasting adventures!
Getting there. Check dasein.com for details. All of the machines go in on thurs/fri, then training with Intelli on tuesday/wednesday. At this point, it's feeling like the car from the Darwin awards with the rocket lashed to the roof, and we're just about to hit the switch...
Danielle, not sure if you are checking your page here, but we're edging towards opening. Still shooting for the 19th, but at this point it is up to the state of Florida's division of restaurant regulation. If we can get our health inspection done by Friday, we'll have a soft opening on Friday. Shoot me an email at true@voltacoffee.com if you want more bloody details.
Hi Danielle, I didn't get a chance to meet you this weekend at SCAA but I saw your competition - WOW! You did a wonderful job. I loved the creativity of your beverage and your presence during your presentation was wonderful! I look forward to seeing you compete again and I will introduce myself next time I am in the ATL.
i agree with Dustin. you were robbed. your presence alone demonstrated what a coffee professional should look like . . . and your drinks looked bangin'! better luck next year!
oh i would like to talk to you about that farm in El Salvador some time
miss you too. we had fun in Minneapolis. We have to get the team together for another run in the southeast. We need Ben on the team. How was the throwdown at octane?
isn't he just great? when you asked for french lit suggestions, my first thought was that it just takes a different section of brain to deal with those frenchies. the traditional (brit) notions of excellence go right out the window, and you start looking for a duller, more emotional and subconscious glow, sort of. that's one thing that draws me to mallarme.
also, those translations are just awesome. i actually grabbed michelle a copy for m-day (or, technically, the blogchildren did).
Oh which Blue Bottle should I visit? I only have time for one stop at Blue Bottle and one at Ritual. . . do you know which Ritual Chris and M'lissa are at?
Thanks again for all your help yesterday...I hope on some level you were able to benefit from the ugly behind the scenes stuff we put you through...which of course we want to stop being behind the scene...anyway, I appreciate the help!
