Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Simpatico is a kiosk in a building lobby; two fulltime employees/baristas including myself, but "rotating" part time employment. Our barista skils are above average, knowlegeable enough to know and appreciate skills we see in other baristas and shops.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Seattle, New York, Washington D.C.
Rome; Costa Rica; Indonesia.
About Me:
Extensive professional background in graphic design, then decided on a career change late in life. I really enjoy coffee and its impact on society, and watching the development of specialty coffee.
About My Company:
Simpatico Espresso has been in business since May of 2006. We operate a kiosk in a building lobby occupied by a majority of non-profit organizations. Our goal is to expand and own a coffee shop to be a more complete participant in the coffee experience, i.e. more space and the ability to control our environment. It has been a personal goal to reach out to other shops to build community.
Hey Ward, I totally forgot about the jam until this morning when I read something on aldo's blog. My mind is somewhere else these days...yet I totally knew something was going on last night. hope is was much fun, sorry I missed it.
there will be more! i couldn't pin anything down, but now that you mention it, you were missed. I was cupping coffee with Rich coordinating, so I missed the barista commaraderie. Check with Lauren and John, I think they were having a good time with Matt G. from La prima. It was all good, and another step forward for the coffee community.
(p.s., you missed out on some pretty awesome cupcakes)
