My first job was at a small coffee shop in Southern California when I was 15. As soon as I learned how to make drinks and steam milk and felt the rush of when there's a line to door, I was hooked. I love it. Even now if Im on vacation and I come back and I get on bar, Its such a great feeling. To be bustin out drinks and making a good product is so much
fun. So needless to say Ive been a barista ever since.
About Me:
Coffee is my passion. I love being challenged, I love working with people. I never want to stop learning. I have a strong determination to do the best I can.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love how you can always learn more. No one will ever know every thing there is to know about coffee and how it grows or how to pull the perfect shot. There's always room to grow And there's someone else out there that can teach you.

Hmm... very similar backgrounds! I started 3 years ago, someone signed me up for a competition, so I had to learn. I am always wanting to improve how I teach it. There seems to be different levels of achievement when learning how to pour. I am working on taking a lot of my baristas from know how to predicting the pour... if you have any suggestions.... I am eager to get even more information. That's what this is all about right!!!

OMG, I can't wait to work with a fellow coffee geek (you) again! I feel so detached from it all working with such apathetic 'newbs.' See ya!

Sam! I'm glad to hear you're getting back into coffee, I was worried about you for a while ;)

I wish we still worked together, pumping out the coffee-a seamless team. We'll just have to be virtual co-workers...as soon as we both find our new cafes.

It was good to hear from you, and I'll see you soon!

Sam, that's a great Idea! I assume it'd be not problem-unless she completely destroyed all traces of your existence from the company vaults ;) which I doubt is the case.

Definitely give her a call! I'd love to work with you. When are you in town again?
