About Me:
I enjoy making things. Furniture. coffee. food. The thing I love about making coffee is that while their is still a creative element to the whole thing, you really are stewarding the coffee more than anything. The stewarding part is comforting, knowing that their is a pathway to walk, some rules to follow, people to look up to.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
thanks for your advice, its really helped! especially with the training, i haven't begun to train my crew yet... mostly because they have yet to arrive... but trying to "teach" latte art was going to be a scary task for me, especially since I CAN'T DO IT! i'm getting there though... thanks again!

Hey Sam.
My roaster is Sam Jones from 2% Jazz up here in VIctoria. He doesn't roast his SOs for espresso - I just pirate them and run them through the e-grionder and drink em up. He gets beans from a few buyers, as I understand it but predominantly from Origins in Vancouver (Hines Public Market Coffee). He offers me beans from every producing nation.
If you want to get some of his beans then I encourage you to look him up on BX, he's a member, and order something. He's a very good guy and one of the main reasons I'm in this industry. Let him know I recommended you.
It a small (coffee) world after all!
He mentioned that he had a friend at the NW regional comp. We were going to head up there and watch yesterday, but ran to later to catch it.
Hope it went well.
I'm headed to Denver next week to judge the Mountain regional comp.
We'll all have to hang out sometime and talk shop.
