If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
About Me:
My name is Alex, and I'm co-owner of Kavarna Coffeehouse with my wife Linda, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We have a small child and a toddler.
About My Company:
Kavarna Coffeehouse has been a fixture in Green Bay, Wisconsin since 1999. In addition to serving the best coffee in the region, we are also a vegetarian restaurant.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Hello Alex and Linda,
I see you posted on the live music thread and wanted to say hello. We stop by your place any time we're up in GB and in the neighborhood, and we love it. We're in Two Rivers so GB is just a short trip for us. We (my wife Kim and I) enjoy your place very much (Little Tokyo and Kavarna...all the reason we need to drive over to Broadway when in GB). Best wishes and continued success to you...

How did you set up your email list, did you use one of the pre-fabbed solutions or did you build a DB through your website? Loved your post on music so I toured your website, you guys appear to be doing an awesome job marketing yourselves & also the music you provide.
Another nosey question, tell me about your cups. We have been rubber stamping for 2 years, everywhere I look they want 13K to get our cups rolling, what did you do?
Hi Alex, I saw your post on the POS forum regarding Mac OS X and MYOB. Did you ever find a POS that meets your needs? I've been searching for the same thing to no avail.
Hi Alex,
I'm actually putting together a line-up list of all the folks who've played here, along with what their music might be best described as and any contact info and my own notes on each performer...more for my own obsessive record keeping purposes than anything else, but perhaps you'd find it useful as well. I'll likely be finishing it up sometime in the coming week and will forward to you then if you'd like.
Nope, not in the GB shop too much I'm afraid...which will likely come back to bite me in the butt, but life is already pretty chaotic with the one shop in TR. You know how that goes. But the next time we're up there and on Broadway I'll swing in to possibly catch you there and say hi.
Hi Alex,
Email me at stumpjack(at)gmail(dot)com so I have your email addy and I'll forward to you contact info on some musicians who I think you might enjoy at your shop.

I know this is overdue (like, two months overdue) but thanks for your ideas and suggestions on profit margins and such...
I grew up in Vermont, and I still spend most summers there. So when I visit Kavarna, I get a very home-like vibe. Your menu rocks! Your staff rocks! Your events rock! Kudos!
As far as At My Express being compared to Jo To Go, you're right. It happens. I just have to laugh. Just for the record: Out of complete desperation, after I'd spent months at home after having my baby (and At My Express was closed), I snagged a job there. I only went to work twice, and then I never went back. THAT PLACE IS FILTHY! (West side) The quality of their beans is terrible. Folgers would be better. And on and on and on.... I'll never take someone seriously if they're comparing At My Express to Jo To Go, nevermind balking at our prices. :)
If you're ever in the area, swing thru the "little red caboose." I'm sure I'll be to Kavarna one of these days....
Alex, I just joined and was searching in Wisconsin. I am the owner of New Roots Coffee Company just east of Wausau. We are a coffee roaster. I checked out your web site and it looks like you have a great place. There are not many coffee people in Northern WI so it is good to find someone with the same passion that we have.
