True to Naomi. My last trip to octane and the ATL gave me a sweet latte I can't figure out how to post the picture of.....

Hey Tony! I missed the CCC ATL cupping by minutes last Friday. I showed up at Octane at 10:00 AM, just a little late to hang a ride with you to the training center.

I think I will be in town on Thursday. I will have a friend with me, more than likely, so he is paying!LOL!. He should, shouldn't he? Look at all the fine coffee and marginal people that I will be introducing him to!

    Yo Tony Wazzup!? :-)
  • Jason Dominy

Tony, it was cool to meet you this weekend. You make a great judge, too. I can't wait to get back down to the ATL and get another great drink. OCTANE RULES!
  • Anthony Rue

Tony-- the Octane crew rocks again! Congratulations.

The wheels of commerce turn very slowly indeed. Our "fast-track" building permit was put back two weeks because of staff vacations at the city permit office. Lots of gear sitting on the floor, wrapped in plastic-- everything is in except for the big True fridge and the ice maker. With luck we're back on track tomorrow and looking to be done with the build-out and case work by the first week of March... (but hopefully Janet and I will still be able to come up for the Hoffmann party and presentations)

Hey Tony....great judging with you...hopefully we will get a chance to hang out without a competition framework....! Let me know if you are ever in the area. It was great of your crew to volunteer too...couldn't have done it without you guys helping.
  • Phil Proteau

Is your pallet back to normal yet? How bout you blood tox?
  • Jason Dominy

I sent some people your way today. They will be in Atlanta next weekend, and are opening a shop here in NC. I told them it's a great place to see what a successful coffeeshop/bar/lounge looks like.
  • Phil Proteau

Let me know when you plan a visit. You can get my # off the website. We'll eat big soft pretzels. Actually, there is a restaurant with a fermentation lab, you might like checking that out.
  • byron

of course i'll be your friend

  • Jason Dominy

Headed to the ATL this weekend to work the espresso labs at da DessertExpo. Going to definitely stop by the 'Tane, and am still trying to figure out a way to get there on a Thursday.
  • Tony Riffel

Cool! Look forward to catching up. See you this weekend!
  • Jason Dominy

Sorry I missed you this weekend. Did go by there Sunday morning and were loved on by M'lissa and Ben. She made me one of the sweetest lattes I have ever had. Loved the SO espresso, too. Heck, I just love that place.
  • michael Phillips

Hey Tony, mad props to you and all your peoples. Not only were my experiences with all of you stellar but everyone I came with was saying the same things. Cant wait until next year when we can get a taste of that honest to goodness southern hospitality in ATL.
  • Heather Ringwood

Well said! I forgot to tell you Monday. Your article in Fresh Cup was awesome. We have all read a many a similar story (origin trip), you and your wife seemed to capture the story better than most. It is great to see how much you care about coffee.

    respect.

    Hey Tony,
I just wanted to say thanks for the chat time when I was in ATL a couple of days ago. I really enjoy talking coffee with you and getting your thoughts over some fantastic Tuscano espresso and capps.
    See you soon, I hope.
  • Jay Lijewski (TacomaPenna)

    Hi Tony,

    Literally, any time!

Ben is a great guy and Brooke is sweeter than Georgia tea! You have some great people, for sure.

I hope to meet you at SCAA if not before.
  • Jay Lijewski (TacomaPenna)

    Tony,

Great to see you again! I will see you soon in ATL, for sure.

I have a question for you. How can I get a hold of your boy Joshua? I had a great time chatting with him over the weekend and I'd like to keep in touch.

    Talk to you soon...
