Hey! I heard you got to stop in at one of my shops (Open Eye)...sorry I wasn't there....hope you enjoyed the absolutely no red carpet treatment! I promise to make up for it somehow.....
I trust the rest of the trip went well. Will you guys be in Minn.?
Some lots were excellence, I remember two of Natural process and two of Washed~
How about the plan of coffee shop? did you and James found some place ?
LOL it was a flying visit into London and out again, I want to come down and see your place the timing was not good :( I missed your espresso's while I was down :(
You're right Annette, it was Saturday and I should have been in bed, but my Saturday started at 5:30am to catch the 6am train to New York City, commute to Queens for a class on pectins, then back to the city to explore food and then back to Queens for another class, more food and then the train back to Baltimore. Now, I'm home and can sleep again!
Yay...your my first Barista Exchange buddy! I was just thinking about you today! Have been meaning to drop you and James a line to say a big congrats on square mile! Can't wait to see the website. xx
hey! thanks for the message. memphis is okay. pretty damn hot and lots of bugs. great! I had so many bites my mom thought i had chicken pox, which sounds like it would be even more strange but i had heaps! I wish I was back there for the 1st. The El Salvador bags looks sweet!
~I decided after christmas that i had to opportunity to compete as i just started working with Fan Zwang who was 2nd to Stephen last yr. so a week before the comp I got a wk off work to train. I think It paid off a little as I made it to the finals, and was second in the semi finals.. but on the day my espresso was bad, extraction too short and my grind was off. The most intense 30mins I've ever experienced. great learning process though... I guess I'll try again next year, and work towards it alot sooner.
Hi Anette. Just received a package from Square Mile; loving the Spring Espresso. Just about to delve into Los Luchadores... Istanbul suddenly does not seem so far from the rest of the coffee world. Thanks for the beans. - Diarmuid

I actually used to live in Bedfordshire when I was very young. Unfortunately I never had the chance to check out the UK coffee scene.

We are having our National Competition in December. Do you have Stephen´s e-mail?
