You're right Annette, it was Saturday and I should have been in bed, but my Saturday started at 5:30am to catch the 6am train to New York City, commute to Queens for a class on pectins, then back to the city to explore food and then back to Queens for another class, more food and then the train back to Baltimore. Now, I'm home and can sleep again!

~I decided after christmas that i had to opportunity to compete as i just started working with Fan Zwang who was 2nd to Stephen last yr. so a week before the comp I got a wk off work to train. I think It paid off a little as I made it to the finals, and was second in the semi finals.. but on the day my espresso was bad, extraction too short and my grind was off. The most intense 30mins I've ever experienced. great learning process though... I guess I'll try again next year, and work towards it alot sooner.

Hi Anette. Just received a package from Square Mile; loving the Spring Espresso. Just about to delve into Los Luchadores... Istanbul suddenly does not seem so far from the rest of the coffee world. Thanks for the beans. - Diarmuid
