If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I was a barista/barista trainer, coffee director at 2 different specialty coffee shops in NYC for almost 3 years before taking my roasting job.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
A shorter list would be the ones I do not want to travel to. I really don't want to go to Wheatland, WY other than that, I would love to travel all over and pull shots with tons of different people. I would love to train baristas in Ethiopia someday!
About Me:
I take them there green beans, and turn 'em brown! Rock and Roast!
About My Company:
Stumptown Coffee Roasters
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Finding an amazing coffee and sharing it with a friend.
Did not properly say hi and welcome back to you as I am homeless and need to do things like take boring meetings with insurance agents in cafes, rather than just hang out. Next time I promise you I will be just hanging out wasting time and I will say hi, welcome back, and "How the hell was Panama?" !
Small world, huh? We really enjoyed Grumpy in Chelsea and were very impressed by everyone's friendliness, knowledge, and level of service. As busy as the shop appeared to me, it surprised me when you said how packed it can be during a real rush.
hey there!
well im already on that right now...im really looking into the new place Williamsburg, El Beit. Have you been there yet?
It's kind of already in the works but if all else fails, then your help may be greatly appriciated! pleased to meet you and I hope to run into down there!
Hey Ed, my wife and I were at Grumpy earlier today on our Manhattan spro crawl - excellent espresso & cappuccino, beautiful tulip - great job! We loved the shop and were very impressed.
Mas Cafe is located in Emmaus, PA (near Allentown) - about 1.5 hrs away from NYC. You had a pretty steady stream of people when we were in, so I didn't want to bother you. But, next time we head up to NYC I'll let you know and maybe we can talk coffee a bit. Again, great job - and, thanks, now I want a Synesso.
Thanks for stopping into the Press the other day! You mentioned that you're selling your Rock Out shirts...where can I get one?! I think we may have met at Grumpy last spring, actually, when I was in NYC. I had a long conversation with someone, anyway, about my thoughts of relocating from Maine to somewhere else...
hey there i am heading to NYC this week and looking for some good espresso. whats your location? any other suggestions? i plan on hitting cafe grumpy and gimme coffee
Ed! I've been thinking about getting in touch lately. I hope you are well and the new project is good. I've also moved to a new company. If you are ever up this way please call me or send a note !
Ed! Blue State Coffee is the name of the company. If you take anything from that, we are a politically, socially and environmentally motivated company donating a percentage of sales to progressive causes voted on by our customers. It's exciting. Matter of fact, there was something I could ask you about gear... I'll send a message.
Hey Ed. Hit me up when your in Seattle. I work at Trabant Coffee and Chai downtown and I could show you around some good stuff(coffee, food, beer, stuff, ect). That would totally rule.
Hahaha, I just replied to your blog and then I stumbled across my co-worker, Matt's reply. Matt and I can definitely show you some great coffee. Definitely recommend the two of us, we're ridiculous together.
just thought you should know kaffe 1668 was one of my two preferred shops when i did the NYC cafe romp. cheers to good design, good technique, and great espresso!
